Bill Hoffman
As the Co-founder and CTO of Toxnot, Bill’s leadership record includes some 20+ years of experience in the fast-paced software development world, a degree from Cornell, and a resume spanning start-ups as well as some of the largest internet services on the planet. Bill starts with genuine questions and curiosity. This is what makes him an effective leader as well as a creative architect. Toxnot’s mission of transparency and its rapidly growing set of enterprise and supply chain tools reflect Bill’s ability to solve some of today’s toughest sustainability challenges with software tools.
Elizabeth Mahon
Elizabeth Mahon is a software engineer at Toxnot, and loves using software to help people understand data to make informed decisions, especially with regards to human health and the environment. She graduated with a B.S. in Engineering with a Concentration in Computing from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering & earned a Master’s degree in Water Resource Management from Colorado State University.
Evelyn Ritter
As Customer Success Manager, Evelyn helps manufacturers leverage technology to ensure their products meet the highest levels of material safety and sustainability possible. She is motivated to break down the complexity of chemical hazards and technology tools, to allow our clients more time to improve their products. She’s dedicated to improving our products and process for the many generations to come, and ensuring that environmental damage doesn’t disproportionally affect underserved populations in the future, the way it has in the past.
Nik Buskirk
Nik relocated to Colorado from the Netherlands and brings years of experience developing and supporting software for leading hospitals around the world, and is finally putting his chemistry degree to good use. As a software engineer, Nik enjoys working on the projects that make your data and efforts go further: developing integrations with other platforms, new reports, and tools to support effective chemical list maintenance and transparency efforts. With a recent deep dive into priority chemicals in our manufacturing processes, Nik has a renewed appreciation for the sustainability teams working tirelessly to eliminate them or otherwise minimize their impact on our health and environment.
Pete Girard

As Toxnot’s CEO, Pete artfully combines over a decade of strategic experience at the multinational level, with a well-respected background in product management, lifecycle assessment, product stewardship and corporate sustainability strategy.

Pete is the voice and the heart of Toxnot.

His strategic vision for the tools and solutions that Toxnot offers cuts across the barriers in today’s globalized supply chain system. He is a natural collaborator, teacher and versatile leader. Pete has an uncanny ability to plainly see the power of open technology to disrupt complex sustainability problems, like the need to see the chemical hazards in our everyday products.

Rachel Schohn
Rachel loves identifying environmental impacts and helping to find sustainable solutions. Even more than that, she loves talking about them in ways that jazzes up others. So, becoming Toxnot’s content marketing manager was an obvious fit. Her experience creating marketing content for other sustainability-minded software firms together with her master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from UCSB helps her articulate value to Toxnot’s users.
